Local voices. A bookshop. Two hours of spoken word.
Spoken Word Local Spotlight brings Sam Steele and Chris Tait to Able Kids Press on Wednesday 30 September, 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Sam Steele lives in Inverness and writes poems that refuse to sit still — love, war, garlic, self-service checkouts, and wordplay that once stopped a Loud Poets slam mid-breath. Collections, children’s books (Luno the Loch Ness Alpaca, Santa’s Adventure at Loch Ness), Belladrum and Edinburgh Fringe stages.
Chris Tait is a Shetland poet, playwright and spoken-word artist — Scots and Shaetlan on the page, fantasy and shenanigans in the delivery. Graphic novels, plays, slams and open mics from the islands to Glasgow.
The room is Able Kids Press on Market Brae Steps: independent Highland publisher and bookshop. Midweek Fringe. Come to hear what’s being written here.
